Perched on Princes Wharf at the edge of Bristol's Floating Harbour, The Olive Shed has been one of the city's most quietly beloved restaurants since it first opened in 2001. The setting does a lot of the work — harbour views from every table, French doors thrown open on warmer days, candlelit and cosy when the evenings draw in — but the food more than holds its own. The menu roams across the Mediterranean: fresh tapas loaded with olives, herbs and good olive oil; Moroccan-spiced hummus; deep-fried anchovies; mussels that have become something of a local institution; and baked aubergine and rib-eye for those wanting something more substantial. Organic wines, local beers, and genuinely warm service round things off. Unpretentious, independent, and thoroughly Bristol.

It was a great way to try out 6 different restaurants. Fantastic way to catch up with friends as no poring over menus and waiting for orders or the bill. The short walks in between each venue were welcome. I'd say we spent roughly an hour in each venue.
Customer
Such an incredible concept. The best possible way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Birmingham
Good value for money. Something fun for a Sunday. Good opportunity to see restaurants you'd not necessarily normally visit.
Birmingham
Really really well organized and some fantastic places to visit. The difference between the best and worst place on the tour was quite vast, but 5 of our 6 stops were incredible and the variety actually made it more interesting and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!

The staff everywhere have been fun, friendly and welcoming. I've recommended the restaurants tours to many of my friends. Can't wait to book to do another one

Liverpool
Experiencing the light bites and accompanying drinks at each restaurant was enjoyable, we visited places we didn’t know of until that day. The route was well planned and although we knew a lot of people were taking part that day, it did not feel busy or at all rushed as the starting routes varied. We went with friends and had a great day. Would recommend.
Shrewsbury
I’d never done the tour before and I’m so glad I finally did! It was such a fun and delicious way to spend the day. I loved trying new dishes and exploring different types of cuisine — each of the six venues offered something unique, and every stop came with a perfectly paired drink, which added to the experience. Being in Shrewsbury made it even better. The time to walk between venues gave us a chance to chat, enjoy the surroundings, and really savour the day. It felt relaxed, friendly, and full of flavour. Overall, it was a lovely day — fun, tasty, and a great way to discover new spots. Highly recommended for any foodie looking for a good time!
Glasgow
The food and wine selections were top-notch. I loved discovering the city's culinary scene one bite at a time. Can't wait to return
Glasgow
Fantastic day out in Glasgow on the Restaurant Tour. We had not expected the portions to be so generous, full size mains, and what a nice surprise for the matched wines to be equally generous, and in most cases of a very high quality! It was good to have the restaurants spaced out enough to walk off the meal before digging into the next one! And all the venues were beautifully appointed, the ambiance just perfect for not one but six meals fit for a couple of princesses!!
