Housed within the grand, historic University Arms Hotel overlooking the greenery of Parker's Piece, Parker’s Tavern is a masterfully reimagined British brasserie that beautifully captures the essence of Cambridge. Masterminded by classical architect John Simpson and world-renowned interior designer Martin Brudnizki, the stunning space playfully subverts tradition. Wall panelling in the famous Cambridge Blue is offset by traditional dark-wood herringbone floors, parquet details, and a mish-mash of collegiate artwork, creating an atmosphere where a grand university dining hall seamlessly meets a luxurious, velvet-upholstered private club. The vibe is refined, energetic, and laced with a touch of eccentric English wit. Moving away from rigid fine dining, the restaurant hums with lively conversation from morning until late night as waiters carry plates of "gutsy" British classics sourced from the Cambridgeshire fields, fens, and surrounding seas. The transition into the adjacent jewel-toned cocktail bar is seamless; having served as a social meeting spot and coaching inn for over a century, it remains a bustling hub for crackling fires, botanical cocktails inspired by the city's scientific and literary legacy, and live jazz on Friday nights. It is a soulful city landmark that offers the perfect balance of academic nostalgia and contemporary, high-end comfort.

Liverpool
Experiencing the light bites and accompanying drinks at each restaurant was enjoyable, we visited places we didn’t know of until that day. The route was well planned and although we knew a lot of people were taking part that day, it did not feel busy or at all rushed as the starting routes varied. We went with friends and had a great day. Would recommend.
Glasgow
My husband and I went in the Glasgow Merchant City Restaurant Tour. At each restaurant the food was wonderful and we got drink for each course too. We could tour as quickly or as slowly as we wanted and we had plenty of time to visit all restaurants. We definitely plan to go on another tour and will know it is so good to buy as a gift! I have recommended this tour to friends and colleagues who have also taken the opportunity to go on a food tour!
Birmingham
Really really well organized and some fantastic places to visit. The difference between the best and worst place on the tour was quite vast, but 5 of our 6 stops were incredible and the variety actually made it more interesting and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!
Birmingham
Can't wait to do this again! And will look out for ones in other cities. Such a great way to try new restaurants and explore the city.
Bristol
I didn't really know what to expect as there were not many reviews out there when I booked but it was great fun. I visited parts of Bristol and restaurants that were previously unknown to me. The venues were great, as was the food. We felt very welcome and great effort had been made to provide us with interesting and tasty food and drink. Food was so plentiful that we took the last meal home in a doggie bag because we were stuffed and didn't want to waste it

It was a great experience and took us to us places we would never normally have visited. We are new in the city and it is a great way to discover Milton Keynes

Really novel idea! Each restaurant was warm and welcoming. The chosen establishments were good quality and staff were really nice. The dish and the drinks were good quality and well thought out. A really fun afternoon and fantastic value.
Liverpool
Great food, wine and service at all restaurants, not rushed. One of the greatest pleasures to eat, drink and converse with a good friend .
Glasgow
Fantastic day out in Glasgow on the Restaurant Tour. We had not expected the portions to be so generous, full size mains, and what a nice surprise for the matched wines to be equally generous, and in most cases of a very high quality! It was good to have the restaurants spaced out enough to walk off the meal before digging into the next one! And all the venues were beautifully appointed, the ambiance just perfect for not one but six meals fit for a couple of princesses!!
Milton Keynes
A fun, surprising and affordable outing to do (especially with friends). It's a really good concept with the right balance of eating, drinking, chatting and still moving. Conclusion: Well organised, delicious dishes with fine wines.
