Tattu Leeds

Tattu Leeds

29 E Parade
Classy & Cool

Located in the heart of Leeds city centre at East Parade, Tattu Leeds is a stunning evolution of the modern Asian concept, visually inspired by the intricate progression of body art and tattoo line work. The interior is a sensory journey, featuring dark marble floors, stone-grey walls, and the brand’s signature canopy of purple cherry blossoms, symbols of good luck and life, offset by white roses that pay homage to the Yorkshire emblem. The vibe is "sultry and immersive," characterized by low-level mood lighting and "attention-grabbing fauna" that create the feeling of a secret, futuristic garden party. With its theatrical plates and innovative cocktails, often presented with clouds of dramatic smoke, the atmosphere is unapologetically glamorous and highly photogenic. It is a soulful destination for "special occasions," blending high-end art installation aesthetics with an energetic, "extra" social buzz.

Cosy & Nice

Located in the heart of Leeds city centre opposite the Conservatoire and next to the Leeds Playhouse, Kerala Canteen brings a modern, interactive twist to traditional South Indian dining. Headed by MasterChef alumnus Bobby Geetha, the kitchen fuses imported coastal spices with fresh Yorkshire produce to create affordable, punchy masterpieces. The Banksia

The Banksia

2 Lower Briggate, Leeds LS1 4AE, Verenigd Koninkrijk
Cosy & Nice

On the corner of Lower Briggate and Swinegate, tucked beneath the striking Hotel Indigo, The Banksia arrived on the Leeds dining scene in 2025 and has been turning heads ever since. Award-winning Head Chef Craig Rogan — formerly Chef of the Year and Best Restaurant winner — has built a menu that leans heavily into Turkish and Greek influences: sharing plates roaming from mezze and wood-fired dishes to bold signature mains, all made with fresh local produce. The room itself is warm and generous — booth seating, low lighting, a cocktail bar doing serious work — with a live DJ on Friday and Saturday nights giving the space an energy that few hotel restaurants manage. Relaxed, characterful, and very Leeds.

Madre Leeds

Madre Leeds

Unit 2AB, 4 Wellington Pl, Leeds LS1 4AP, Verenigd Koninkrijk
Hip & Happening

Born out of a collaboration between Liverpool's Belzan and London's Breddos Tacos, Madre arrived in Leeds in April 2026 and brought the energy of Mexico City's best restaurants with it. At Wellington Place, an open kitchen sits at the heart of the room — booths and big tables surrounding it, built for groups and long evenings. The menu roams across Mexico's regions: rich Oaxacan moles, Baja-style ceviche, wood-grilled Sonoran meats, birria tacos with slow-cooked beef shin, and margaritas in every conceivable form. At the heart of it all is the Mexican tradition of sobremesa — the art of lingering at the table long after the meal is over. Already a firm favourite in Manchester and Liverpool, Leeds was always next. Now it's here, and it's very hard to leave.

Liverpool

Experiencing the light bites and accompanying drinks at each restaurant was enjoyable, we visited places we didn’t know of until that day. The route was well planned and although we knew a lot of people were taking part that day, it did not feel busy or at all rushed as the starting routes varied. We went with friends and had a great day. Would recommend.

Really novel idea! Each restaurant was warm and welcoming. The chosen establishments were good quality and staff were really nice. The dish and the drinks were good quality and well thought out. A really fun afternoon and fantastic value.

All enthusiastic entrepreneurs with a passion for wine and food! It's nice to give as a gift and it's really fun. The service at 1 restaurant was not quite great, so that was a bit of a shame, but the other 5 were perfect.

My husband and I went in the Glasgow Merchant City Restaurant Tour. At each restaurant the food was wonderful and we got drink for each course too. We could tour as quickly or as slowly as we wanted and we had plenty of time to visit all restaurants. We definitely plan to go on another tour and will know it is so good to buy as a gift! I have recommended this tour to friends and colleagues who have also taken the opportunity to go on a food tour!

We had a great day. Every restaurant was very friendly and very well organised. Just trying a sample of their delicious meals is enough to make us want to visit them again. The variety in the dishes was brilliant, from Indian tapas, sliders, Spanish, Vietnamese, pizza and cheese & crackers, we had it all, together with the lovely drink accompaniments. Would highly recommend to anyone, great value for money.

Great day out for foodies.

My partner and I booked on to the Castle street restaurant tour in Liverpool and it was possibly our favourite date we have ever been on! It was well organised, good value for money and a great opportunity to try new restaurants around our city which we have since visited regularly. I would definitely like to try one of the other tours.

Great experience and would recommend!

It was a great way to try out 6 different restaurants. Fantastic way to catch up with friends as no poring over menus and waiting for orders or the bill. The short walks in between each venue were welcome. I'd say we spent roughly an hour in each venue.

A Fantastic Foodie Experience!

I’d never done the tour before and I’m so glad I finally did! It was such a fun and delicious way to spend the day. I loved trying new dishes and exploring different types of cuisine — each of the six venues offered something unique, and every stop came with a perfectly paired drink, which added to the experience.

Being in Shrewsbury made it even better. The time to walk between venues gave us a chance to chat, enjoy the surroundings, and really savour the day. It felt relaxed, friendly, and full of flavour.

Overall, it was a lovely day — fun, tasty, and a great way to discover new spots. Highly recommended for any foodie looking for a good time!
