Set inside a stunning Victorian building on Sugnall Street — once a home for destitute children, now one of Liverpool's finest dining rooms — The Art School is Chef Patron Paul Askew's love letter to the city he has championed for over four decades. Since opening in 2014, Askew has drawn on a career that took him from New York to Singapore and Dubai, channelling those global influences into menus built around the finest seasonal produce from within 35 miles: Claremont Farm asparagus, Liverpool Bay sea bass, Southport potted shrimp, Oldfield Farm Galloway beef. The result is ambitious, colourful fine dining — Michelin recommended since day one, two AA Rosettes, and winner of the Taste of England Award — served in an elegant room of red chairs and crisp white linen.

Sitting at the heart of the Royal Albert Dock, Gusto has been one of Liverpool's most beloved Italian restaurants for over fifteen years — and the setting alone makes it worth the visit. Exposed brick walls, olive trees, expansive windows and a waterside terrace all set a mood that's somewhere between a sun-drenched trattoria and a UNESCO World Heritage landmark. The menu stays true to Italian tradition: hand-pulled pizzas, house-made pasta, and a specials menu shaped by regular sourcing trips to Italy, all backed by a carefully chosen wine list. Across two floors of dining with dock views at every turn, Gusto is the kind of place that makes a long, unhurried lunch feel like a mini escape to the Mediterranean.

Tucked inside a two-century-old brick warehouse next to the Beatles Story at the Royal Albert Dock, Lunyalita is the younger sibling of Liverpool's much-loved Lunya — and it's carved out a personality all of its own. Original flagstone floors, vaulted arched ceilings and a sun terrace spilling out onto the dock set the scene for some of the North West's best Catalan tapas: grilled sobrasada with whipped goat's cheese and orange-blossom honey, dirty patatas bravas, cracking paellas and pan-fried sea bass on squid-ink pasta with allioli. The Good Food Guide calls it a Local Gem, and it's easy to see why. Intimate, characterful and deeply Spanish in spirit, Lunyalita is one of Liverpool's most charming spots.

Birmingham
Good value for money. Something fun for a Sunday. Good opportunity to see restaurants you'd not necessarily normally visit.
Liverpool
Great food, wine and service at all restaurants, not rushed. One of the greatest pleasures to eat, drink and converse with a good friend .

We've done 2 of the tours and both times had the best time. Enjoyed restaurants that we never even knew were there and tries some delicious food. The staff everywhere have been fun, friendly and welcoming. I've recommended the restaurants tours to many of my friends. Can't wait to book to do another one
Glasgow
My husband and I went in the Glasgow Merchant City Restaurant Tour. At each restaurant the food was wonderful and we got drink for each course too. We could tour as quickly or as slowly as we wanted and we had plenty of time to visit all restaurants. We definitely plan to go on another tour and will know it is so good to buy as a gift! I have recommended this tour to friends and colleagues who have also taken the opportunity to go on a food tour!

Bristol
It was a lovely day and whilst we were a little apprehensive of 6 restaurants in 6 hours we managed it very comfortably. The establishments were all in close proximity for walking - the longest being 5/6 minute walk. All the food was well presented and very tasty and the wine/drinks pairing worked well. Every establishment had lovely welcoming staff. We have visited more than 3 of the extablishments since then.
Customer
It was very well organized, great way to sample different foods and restaurants that we would not normally have tried. Fantastic way to meet and chat to loads of new people cannot recommend the experience highly enough. Great value for money
Customer
It was a great way to try out 6 different restaurants. Fantastic way to catch up with friends as no poring over menus and waiting for orders or the bill. The short walks in between each venue were welcome. I'd say we spent roughly an hour in each venue.
Birmingham
Really really well organized and some fantastic places to visit. The difference between the best and worst place on the tour was quite vast, but 5 of our 6 stops were incredible and the variety actually made it more interesting and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!
