Historically, the building was once known as the George and Dragon pub, dating back to 1850, making it one of Birmingham's oldest and most historic structures. After a significant refurbishment, it reopened in 2016 as The Pig and Tail by Mark Rafferty maintaining its Victorian charm while introducing contemporary elements.
The interior design is a delightful mix of traditional pub aesthetics and modern touches, featuring colourful leather seating, low leather armchairs, and large windows that allow natural light to flood the space. This combination creates a light and summery ambience, perfect for social gatherings. Temper and Brown run by Roifield Brown and the Brown family the new incarnation of the George and Dragon, which promises to still be a neighbourhood bar and an exciting venue for Birmingham.
